Our branch hosts Annual events that are significant to the community and are opportunities for networking, meeting fellow branch members, volunteering and learning more about our branch. 

Emancipation Day/Day of Jubilee Celebration-January 1
*Every year on this day at 12 noon, we gather to remember the history of Emancipation Day.
This also recognizes the Emancipation Proclamation of 1863. 


Woman of the Year Banquet
*This annual event recognizes the contributions of women in Onslow County from all backgrounds. All businesses, nonprofits, Sororities, and clubs, are encouraged to submit a woman for this award and attended this event. Annual County Black History Festival-Second weekend in February 
*You are invited to come and join the celebration of African American music, food, dance, and culture. This event is in partnership with The People's Coalition. The mission of this organization is to put the "unity" back into the community. Join this year vendors, exhibitors, food trucks, performers and more! 

Annual Membership Birthday Bash-March 11
*The Onslow County NAACP Branch was chartered on March 11, 1946. This annual event celebrates the members and pays honor to our lifetime members.
